It’s up to you! Some painters stay for hours designing and painting their work. Others, including small children, are finished quickly. Most adults average one hour, kids – a little less. It all depends on the piece you select, your design, how detailed you are, and how much time you have. You are welcome to paint for as long as you like. If you are not able to finish in one sitting, no problem. Just pay for your piece, then take your piece home, and return anytime to complete the project.

We're not your typical pottery studio – we're a place where you paint and create your pottery masterpieces on your own terms. We don't offer classes because we believe in the power of hands-on exploration. Dive right in, pick up a brush, and let your imagination run wild. Practice truly makes perfect!

We offer non-toxic paints and glazes of the highest quality. Finished pottery pieces are food safe after firing. They are also “technically” microwave and dishwasher safe. However, we don’t recommend putting them in the latter because the severe temperature changes can cause glaze crackling — and then they are no longer food safe.

Walk-ins are always welcome! You are not required to make a reservation, but if you are planning on a gathering, it would be helpful to ensure that we have a space ready for you. Reservation Group Reservation: Description: Groups of 6 or more people, requires a $25 deposit at booking which goes towards the order at checkout. Reservations for less than 6 people may be made at no cost. Rules for Reservations Reservations: All reservations will only be held for 15 minutes after the booked time Preparation: Guests can bring decor, snacks, and drinks but must be kept your space. Snacks and drinks provided by The Grove Pottery available for additional cost. Set-up Time: Maximum 15 minutes prior to party time. Guest Count: All guests must be painting. If there will be non-painting guests, refer to Birthday packages. Takedown: Guests are responsible for cleaning up their area after the party. The Grove Pottery’s Discount Scale 6-9 pieces = 5% discount 10-14 pieces = 10% discount 15-24 pieces = 15% discount 25+ pieces = 20% discount Additional Notes: Guests who don’t finish their painting, must take their piece home, and can return during open hours to complete at no additional charge.
